We have hosted a wide range of events at Long Table Cafe from weddings, concerts, funerals, birthday parties, cooking classes & school excursions. A little bit about our school excursions, we start the day with a breakfast/morning tea with our pikelets, jam & cream on arrival. We start the farm tour in my herb garden with a taste testing of our sugar plant, salt bush & the choc mint plant that tastes just like a mint slice. We then move onto the orchard, then the chook house to collect the eggs, view the easy flow beehive then down to the free-range piggery with viewing the turkeys, sheep, & goats. We have milking goats, so we are able to show how easily they are to milk, collecting milk for our cheese making. We then make it back to the restaurant that has been transformed into a classroom. There is a selection of classes we can cover from Pizza & pasta, flatbread, to making a simple salad dressing and collecting fresh salad leaves from the herb garden. In the past we have also done Mother & daughter cooking classes, and it have been suggested couples & men’s, & teens classes.
